To celebrate our 80th Anniversary, we bring the special treat of Julian Lloyd Webber’s wife, cellist Jiaxin, performing the music of Bach and Malcolm Arnold, with insights by Julian into the music and his life.

The Piatti Quartet are becoming regular visitors to BCMS.

The Piattis are famed for their diverse programming and for passionate interpretations across the spectrum of quartet writing.

Zoe Tweed studied at the Royal Academy of Music. She has recently been appointed 3rd Horn in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and also is busy playing chamber music and appearing as a soloist.

With a rapidly developing reputation, Julian Chan has given performances at numerous prestigious venues across the UK, including Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, St John’s Smith Square, and the Sheldonian Theatre.

Outstanding young musicians who are keen to explore a wide range of timbral possibilities.

They are Tunnell Trust and Countess of Munster artists and Britten Pears young artists. They champion new music which they perform in recitals, family concerts and workshops.

Ashley Wass came to fame as the winner of the London International Piano Competition, and as a prize winner at the Leeds piano competition. Described as an ‘endlessly fascinating artist’, Ashley Wass’s musical career is one of unusual creativity and variety.
