Natalie Clein, cello and Anna Tilbrook, piano

John Tavener: Threnos
Dallapicolla: Ciaccona, Intermezzo e Adagio
Bloch: Cello Suite No. 1

Rachmaninov: Cello Sonata in G minor

A welcome return for Natalie Clein, who first performed for BCMS as a school-girl in 1992, and several times since during a hugely successful career.

Her programme of outstanding 20th century solo cello works is crowned with the glorious Rachmaninov Sonata for Cello and Piano of 1901.

Pianist Anna Tilbrook is herself no stranger to BCMS, having recently appeared with tenor James Gilchirst, who are among the most distinguished recital partnerships.
